One of the reasons that gamers will use steel bases is because they make transporting figures easy and safe to do… use a carry box lined with flexible magnet and your steel-based figures stick to the transport tray when you are moving your figures from home to your gamesite. Your figures stay in place and don't suffer from tip-overs or worse accidents.
