The heavy duty magnetic sheet has great holding power, especially with any metal bases/washers.

This magnetic sheet works very well - plenty of 'grab' for bases with Litko's flex-steel applied.

Flexible Magnetic Sheet and Magnetic Bases Not a Good Combo., 4/20/2009

I purchased magnetic bases and flexible magnetic sheet intending to line my Warhammer movement trays with the sheeting and then put the magnetic bases on the miniatures to give them that extra hold. Unfortunately I've never used magnetic sheet before and I didn't know that it has bands of polarity. This has turned out to be a problem as the pre-cut magnetic bases don't match up with the bands of polarity well. It makes it nearly impossible to fit the miniatures into a movement tray close together. Some will match up and the bases will be next to each other and others will wind up 1mm to 2mm apart. You can put the magnets on so that they are perpendicular to the polarity and they hold, but the hold is worse than magnet to metal. This is something Litko should be and is probably aware of, unfortunately it should have been a disclaimer on the site and it is not. Now I have a bunch of magnetic sheet that I can't use.
Other than this, and it really does reduce my rating a lot, it is a great product. I'd recommend it, just be aware of this problem.

I have 15mm WWII infantry mounted on 5/8" zinc washers. I wanted something to help organize and hold them in one spot.
"Thinner" flex magnuts didn't have the pull to hold my figs in place during transport. This heavier sheet does the trick.
Would probably work well in reverse as well.
